Professor Associado do Departamento de Odontologia Preventiva e Social da UFRGS e Pesquisador PQ-CNPq. É também Editor Associado da Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, Revista Brasileira de Epidemiologia e BMC-Oral Health e pesquisador visitante do Aging Reserach Center (Karolinska Institute - Suécia). Possui graduação em Odontologia - UFRGS (1995), mestrado em Dental Public Health - University College London (1998) e Doutorado em Saúde Coletiva/Epidemiologia - UERJ/IMS (2009). Trabalha com desigualdades sociais em saúde com ênfase em tendências de desigualdade e efeitos do contexto social. Tem experiência em Bioestatística, Revisões Sistemáticas de Estudos Observacionais, Avaliação de Serviços de Saúde, e Qualidade de Vida. 2019, 2020 e 2021 Aubrey Sheiham Award for Distinguished Dental Public Sciences Research-IADR

Research Productivity Fellowship PQ2-CNPq, Associate Professor at the Department of Preventive and Social Dentistry and visiting researcher at the Ageing Research Center (Karolinska Institute). Currently Associate Editor of Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, Rev Bras de Epidemiologia and BMC-Oral Health. He graduated in Dentistry from UFRGS (1995), holds a MSc at Dental Public Health from UCL/UK(1998) and a PhD in Epidemiology from UERJ/IMS with period at the Center for Health Equity Studies - Stockholm (2009).
