Marcos Vinicius Dantas de Queiroz

Atualmente é Pesquisador Associado (Postdoc - Bioinformatics) no Instituto de Botânica da Academia de Ciências da República Tcheca. Doutor em Biologia Vegetal pela Universidade Estadual Paulista (campus de Rio Claro) com período sanduíche na Ohio State University (Columbus-OH, EUA), Mestre em Biodiversidade Vegetal e Meio Ambiente pelo Instituto de Botânica (IBt/SP) e Licenciado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Foi professor substituto da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Tem experiência na área de Botânica, com ênfase e interesse em Filogeografia, Bioinformática, Ecologia e Evolução. Também é um entusiasta na divulgação científica, onde colaborou e produziu o podcast Dragões de Garagem.

Currently I'm a Associated Researcher (Postdoc - Bioinformatics) at the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences. I conducted my PhD in Plant Sciences at the São Paulo State University working with comparative phylogeography of bromeliads under supervision of Dr. Clarisse Palma-Silva. M.Sc. in Plant Biodiversity and Environment by the Institute of Botany (IBt / SP) and Graduate in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). In the master's, he was a fellow of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP) where he developed his activities involving Palynology. On graduation held its Scientific Initiation through the Voluntary Institutional Program for Scientific Initiation (PIVIC / CNPq) where he worked with Flora of Iridaceae. Has experience in the area of ​​Botany with emphasis on Plant Systematics, Phylogeography and Evolution. He's also a scientific communicator, collaborating and producing the podcast Dragões de Garagem.
