He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), and a master's and doctorate in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He is currently an Adjunct Professor of the graduation course in Production Engineering at the Academic Center of Agreste (CAA) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE); a permanent member and vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Production Engineering at the Academic Center of Agreste/UFPE (PPGEP/CAA); researcher at the Research Group on Risk Analysis and Modeling in Environment, Assets, Safety, Operations and Nature (REASON/UFPE).
