Miguel Prestes Nácul concluiu a graduação em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul em 1988. Realizou Residência Médica em Cirurgia Geral no Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre entre 1989 e 1991. É especialista em Cirurgia Geral certificado pelo Conselho Federal de Medicina e pelo Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões (CBC) através de concurso em 1992. É também especialista em Cirurgia do Aparelho Digestivo pelo Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgia Digestiva (CBCD) através de concurso em 1991. Tem certificado de área de atuação em Cirurgia Videolaparoscópica através da Sociedade Brasileira de Videocirurgia (SOBRACIL). É Membro Titular do Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões (CBC), Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgia Digestiva (CBCD, Sociedade de Cirurgia Minimamente Invasiva e Robótica (SOBRACIL) e Sociedade Brasileira de Hérnia (SBH). Foi Vice-Presidente do Capítulo do Rio Grande do Sul da SOBRACIL em 1999 e Presidente em 2000. Foi Secretário Geral adjunto da SOBRACIL Nacional na gestão 2008-2010. É Membro da Comissão Nacional de Cursos da SOBRACIL e Editor Adjunto da Revista Brasileira de Videocirurgia. É o atual Mestre do Capítulo do Rio Grande do Sul do Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões. É Membro da Comissão de Cirurgia Robótica do Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões. Atual Diretor Científico da Sociedade Brasileira de Hérnia. É Membro do Corpo Clínico dos Hospitais Moinhos de Vento, Mãe de Deus, Divina Providência, São Lucas da PUC, Ernesto Dornelles e Hospital Restinga e Extremo Sul. É funcionário da Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Alegre, atuando como Cirurgião do Hospital de Pronto Socorro, onde assessora a área de Videocirurgia. Atua como preceptor da Residência em Cirurgia Geral do Hospital de Pronto Socorro de Porto Alegre e da associação Vila Nova no Hospital Restinga e Extremo Sul, acreditadas pelo MEC e Coordenador do Curso de Extensão em Cirurgia Videolaparoscópica, acreditado pela SOBRACIL. Foi auxiliar de Ensino do Pós-graduação em Videocirurgia da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da UFRGS. É coordenador do Curso de Pós-graduação Lato-Sensu em Cirurgia Minimamente Invasiva da Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Hospital Moinhos de Vento em Porto Alegre, RS. É cocoordenador do Programa de Fellowship em Cirurgia Minimamente Invasiva do Hospital Moinhos de Vento. É coordenador do Programa de Residência Médica em Cirurgia Geral do Hospital Moinhos de Vento. É Coordenador pedagógico da área de Cirurgia Geral do Treinamento em Videocirurgia (CIVEx) da UNICETREX. Coordenador Médico do Instituto SIMUTEC de Simulação Médica. Foi Professor convidado do Curso de Especialização em Cirurgia Minimamente Invasiva da Universidade Positivo em Curitiba, PR e do Grupo Scolla também em Curitiba, PR. Concluiu Mestrado em Ciências Cirúrgicas pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Publicou diversos artigos em periódicos especializados. Possui também capítulos de livros publicados. Possui inúmeros itens de produção técnica. Participa de eventos no exterior e no Brasil de forma rotineira. Recebeu 10 prêmios e/ou homenagens. Em suas atividades profissionais interagiu com 46 colaboradores em co-autorias de trabalhos científicos. Miguel Prestes Nácul graduated in Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1988. He completed a Medical Residency in General Surgery at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre between 1989 and 1991. He is a specialist in General Surgery certified by the Federal Council of Medicine and by the Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões (CBC) through competition in 1992. He is also a specialist in Surgery of the Digestive Apparatus by the Colégio Brasileiro decirurgia Digestiva (CBCD) through competition in 1991. Videosurgery (SOBRACIL). He is a Titular Member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons (CBC), Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD, Society of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery (SOBRACIL) and Brazilian Society of Hernia (SBH). He was Vice-President of the Chapter of Rio Grande do Sul of SOBRACIL in 1999 and President in 2000. He was Deputy General Secretary of SOBRACIL Nacional in the 2008-2010 management. He is a Member of the National Commission of Courses of SOBRACIL and Deputy Editor of the Brazilian Magazine of Videosurgery. He is the current Master of the Rio Grande do Sul Chapter South of the Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões. He is a Member of the Committee on Robotic Surgery of the Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões. He is currently Scientific Director of the Brazilian Society of Hernia. He is a Member of the Clinical Staff of Hospitals Moinhos de Vento, Mãe de Deus, Divina Providência, São Lucas da PUC, Ernesto Dornelles and Hospital Restinga e Extremo Sul. He is an employee of the Municipality of Porto Alegre, acting as Surgeon at the Hospital de Pronto Socorro, where he advises the Videosurgery area. He acts as preceptor of the Residency in General Surgery at Hospital de Pronto Socorro de Porto Alegre and at the Vila Nova association at Hospital Restinga and Extremo Sul, accredited by MEC and Coordinator of the Extension Course in Videolaparoscopic Surgery, accredited by SOBRACIL. He was teaching assistant for the Post-Graduation in Videosurgery at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UFRGS. He is coordinator of the Lato-Sensu Postgraduate Course in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, RS. He is co-coordinator of the Fellowship Program in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Hospital Moinhos de Vento. He is coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in General Surgery at Hospital Moinhos de Vento. He is Pedagogical Coordinator of the General Surgery area of Videosurgery Training (CIVEx) at UNICETREX. Medical Coordinator of the SIMUTEC Institute of Medical Simulation. He was Guest Professor of the Specialization Course in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Universidade Positivo in Curitiba, PR and Grupo Scolla, also in Curitiba, PR. He completed a Master's Degree in Surgical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He has published several articles in specialized journals. He also has published book chapters. It has numerous items of technical production. He routinely participates in events abroad and in Brazil. He has received 10 awards and/or honors.
