Sajjad Hussain, born on Febuary 01, 1980 in the city of Swabi, KPK, Pakistan. Sajjad got his early education in the same city. Hussain joined the Institute of Chemical Sciences (ICS) University of Peshawar, Pakistan for Bachelor of Chemistry in the 2001 and graduated at the end of 2003. And did Master and M.Phil form the same institute in Physical Chemistry from 2003 to 2008. He served as lecturer from 2008 to 2009 served as lecturer in Sarhad University of Science and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan. In year 2009 Hussain got TWAS/CNPq full time Fellowship for PhD in Chemistry at Institute of Chemistry of Sao Carlos, University of Sao Paulo. After Ph.D have a Post doctorate for one year at Instituto de Quimica de Araraquara UNESP. and currently I working as assistant Professor in the Faculty of Materials & Chemical Engineering GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology Topi, KPK, Pakistan: My research Interest as follow: Environmental Electrochemistry: (I) Electrochemical and photo-electrochemical technologies for the treatment of wastewater containing emerging contaminants (II) Preparation of different electrodes and their application for the removal of classical and emerging pollutants. (III) Advanced oxidation processes, like Fenton, photo-Fenton, and direct photo chemical process. (IV) Magnetic nano particles modified with molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) for the development of electrochemical biosensors determination of vitamins in food and environmental samples. (v) Physicochemical phenomena like adsorption for the removal of heavy metals from aqueous solution.
