Paula Kopschina Feltes
I am trully passionate about neuroimaging, in particular positron emission tomography (PET), and the benefits it can bring to the society, mainy in early diagnosis of diseases. As a research coordinator/project manager at the Medical Imaging Center (UMCG, Groningen, The Netherlands), I work with several clinical projects and sponsors, support scientific grant applications and academic staff, and work towards process improvement.I obtained my double Ph.D. degree in 2018 at the University of Groningen (RUG) in collaboration with the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) through the Abel Tasman Talent Scholarship. During my doctoral research, I mainly focused on the link between psychosocial stress, neuroinflammation and depression, using brain PET imaging. I also worked on development of new radiotracers labelled with C-11 and F-18, preclinical research, PET/CT and PET/MRI image analysis (kinetic modeling with PMOD) and microsurgery. My previous experiences comprise project management, process improvement through the lean 6 sigma methodology (certified Green Belt), quality assurance and quality control. I am a Pharmacist by training, graduated in 2011 at PUCRS, Brazil.
