Raphael Lobato Prado Neves

I am a Forest Engineer (2009-2013), Master of Science (2014-2015) and PhD in Forest Sciences (2016-2020) by the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (UFRA). I have experience in the areas of Management and Silviculture of Tropical Forests, with emphasis on silvicultural treatments in logging gaps. I worked as Environmental Management Technician at the Integrated Center for Environmental Monitoring (CIMAM), in the monitoring of management plans and changes in vegetation cover (2019-2020). I obtained ordinance of Environment Inspection Agent (2020-2022) while assigned to the Special Intelligence and Corporate Security Advisory Office of the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS / PA). I was a consultant for the startup Rainforest Connection, providing technical and scientific advice on forest dynamics in the Amazon (2021-2022). At the State University of the Tocantina Region of Maranhão, I worked as a teacher of the themes Forest Inventory; Agroforestry Systems; and Cell Biology (2021-2022). I am currently a professor in the Forestry Engineering course at the Pará State University, working in the following themes: Tropical Forests Management; Planted Forests Management; Agroforestry Systems; Forest Harvesting and Transport; Forest Inventory; Dendrometry; Forest Administration; Forest Protection; Applied Forestry; and Geoprocessing.

Sou Engenheiro Florestal (2009-2013), Mestre (2014-2015) e Doutor em Ciências Florestais (2016-2020) pela Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (UFRA). Tenho experiência nas áreas de Manejo e Silvicultura de Florestas Tropicais, com ênfase aos tratamentos silviculturais em clareiras provenientes da exploração florestal. Atuei como Técnico em Gestão de Meio Ambiente no Centro Integrado de Monitoramento Ambiental (CIMAM), onde monitorava planos de manejo e alterações da cobertura vegetal (2019-2020). Obtive portaria de Agente de Fiscalização Ambiental (2020-2022) enquanto lotado na Assessoria Especial de Inteligência e Segurança Coorporativa da Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade (SEMAS/PA). Fui consultor da startup Rainforest Connection, prestando consultoria técnica e científica acerca da dinâmica florestal na Amazônia (2021-2022). Na Universidade Estadual da Região Tocantina do Maranhão, atuei como docente das disciplinas de Inventário Florestal; Sistemas Agroflorestais; e Biologia Celular (2021-2022). Atualmente sou professor no curso de Engenharia Florestal da Universidade do Estado do Pará, atuando nas disciplinas de: Manejo de Florestas Tropicais; Manejo de Florestas Plantadas; Sistemas Agroflorestais; Colheita e Transporte Florestal; Inventário Florestal; Dendrometria; Administração Florestal; Proteção Florestal; Silvicultura Aplicada; Introdução à Engenharia Florestal; e Geoprocessamento.
