Paulo Moraes Junior

graduated (1978) in Aeronautical Engineering and Dr.-Ing. (1982) from Technische Universitat Berlin. As senior aerospace technologist at the Institute of Aeronautics and Space works in the development of aerospace systems, with emphasis on aerodynamics and systems engineering of aerospace vehicles. Actually manages the Launch Vehicle Program CRUZEIRO DO SUL and the development of the Retrievable Orbital Platform SARA. Is engaged on the following subjects: launch vehicle systems, reentry aerothermodynamics, space capsule recovery systems, active heat protection, space rendez-vous and docking.

possui graduação em Engenharia Aeronautica - Technische Universitaet Berlin (1978) e doutorado em Engenharia Aeronaútica - Technische Universitaet Berlin (1982). Atualmente é tecnologista senior no Instituto de Aeronáutica e Espaço do CTA. Atua na área da Engenharia Aeroespacial, com ênfase em Aerodinâmica de Veículos Espaciais e Sistemas Espaciais. Coordena o Programa de Veículos Lançadores CRUZEIRO DO SUL e o desenvolvimento da Plataforma Orbital Recuperável SARA. Desenvolve atividades em assuntos relacionados a: aerotermodinâmica de reentrada atmosférica, recuperação de cápsulas espaciais, acoplamento de veículos espaciais, sistemas ativos de proteção térmica, e engenharia de sistemas de veículos lançadores de satélites.
