João de Deus Vidal Junior

Doutor pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Biológicas (Botânica) da Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho". Atualmente é bolsista de pós-doutorado pela Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung (bolsista de liderança em proteção climática) na Universität Passau, Alemanha e pesquisador associado no Department of Plant Sciences da University of the Free State - no campus de QwaQwa, (África do Sul, Phuthaditjhaba). Desenvolve pesquisas na área de biogeografia, ecologia espacial, evolução, macroecologia e sistemática vegetal. Possui experiência nos campos de macroecologia, genética, botânica, biogeografia e ecologia.

PHD in Biological Sciences (Botany) at the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho". I am currently an Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung (Leadership Fellow in Climate Protection) postdoctoral researcher at the Universität Passau, Germany and an associate researcher at the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of the Free State - on the campus of QwaQwa, (South Africa, Phuthaditjhaba). My research interests are climate change focused biogeography, spatial ecology, evolution, macroecology and plant systematics. I have expertise in the fields of macroecology, genetics, botany, biogeography and ecology.
