Andréa Ferreira Cussolim Mesquita

Graduated in Biological Sciences at Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP (2016). She received a scholarship at the Herpetology Laboratory from 2014 to 2016 to study the epidemiological processes of chytridiomycosis in tropical amphibians. She holds a master's degree in Biological Oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG, focused on the effect of environmental variables on the movements and behavior of fin and humpback whales tracked by satellite telemetry in the Southern Ocean. She received a scholarship from NF-POGO in 2019-2020 for the Observational Oceanography training at the Center of Excellence of the Alfred Wegener Institute, in Germany.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP (2016). Foi bolsista no Laboratório de Herpetologia de 2014 a 2016 estudando os processos epidemiológicos da quitridiomicose em anfíbios tropicais. Possui mestrado em Oceanografia Biológica pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG, com foco no efeito das variáveis ambientais sobre os movimentos e o comportamento de baleias fin e jubarte rastreadas por telemetria satelital no Oceano Austral. Foi bolsista da NF-POGO em 2019-2020 para o treinamento de Oceanografia Observacional no Centro de Excelência do Instituto Alfred Wegener, na Alemanha.
