Graduated in Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (1979), master's degree from the University of São Paulo (1984) and doctorate from the Federal University of Paraná with the Center for Disease Control - Atlanta-USA (1998). He is Full Professor of the Gynecology Area at the Federal University of Paraná, having obtained the title through a public competition in 2012. He is currently director of ABPTGIC and SBDST and is part of the Title Committee of the Specialist in Pathology of the Lower Genital Tract and Colposcopy. He was head of the Department of Tocogynecology for two terms (2011-14), and at that time he attended the Postgraduate Course in Published Administration, having received the title of the Federal Institute of Paraná in 2015. In this period he was the creator of the Post- Graduated in Tocogynecology at UFPR, being the first coordinator from 2015 to 2019. He has experience in Clinical Research (Clinical Trials - certified by the Global Health Network) having participated in research on the HPV vaccine and currently participates in research on the vaccine against Cervical Cancer. He has experience in the field of Infections in Gynecology and Obstetrics and Pathology of the Lower Genital Tract, working in the field of Infections in Gynecology and Obstetrics, mainly in the following subjects: HPV, HPV vaccines, prevention of genital cancer, prevention of sexual cancer, STIs ), HIV / AIDS and infections and genital herpes. He is the coordinator of the Infection Sector in the GO of the DTG of the Hospital de Clínicas da UFPR. Head of the HC / UFPR Vulvar Disease Outpatient Clinic - Main lines of research in HPV infection, vaccines and oncogenic genitals and infections in obstetrics and gynecology. É Professor Titular da Área de Ginecologia da Universidade Federal do Paraná tendo obtido titulo através de concurso publico em 2012. Atualmente pertence a diretoria da ABPTGIC e SBDST e integra a Comissão de Titulo de Especialista em Patologia do Trato Genital Inferior e Colposcopia. Foi chefe do Departamento de Tocoginecologia por dois mandatos ( 2011-14) sendo que na ocasião cursou a PosGraduação em Administração Publica tendo obtido Titulo pelo Instituto Federal Paraná em 2015. Neste período foi o criador do curso de PosGraduação em Tocoginecologia da UFPR sendo seu primeiro coordenador desde 2015 até 2019. Tem experiência em Pesquisa Clinica ( Clinical Trials- certificado pela The Global Health Network) tendo participado em inúmeros projetos, destacando entre eles o da Vacina contra o HPV e atualmente participa na pesquisa da Vacina contra o Câncer do Colo Uterino. Tem experiência na Área de Infecções em Ginecologia e Obstetricia e Patologia do Trato Genital Inferior , atuando na área de Infecções em Ginecologia e Obstetricia,principalmente nos seguintes temas: HPV, vacinas contra o HPV, prevenção do câncer genital, infecções de transmissão sexual (ITS), HIV/AIDS e infecções e herpes genital. É coordenador do Setor de Infecções em GO do DTG do Hospital de Clinicas da UFPR . Chefe do ambulatório de Doenças Vulvares do HC/UFPR- Principais linhas de Pesquisa em Infecção pelo HPV, vacinas e oncogênese genital e Infecções em Obstetricia e Ginecologia . Tem 193 publicações com 8158 citações apresentando 61 publicações com mais de 10 citações e índice H = 29, sendo 66 de suas publicações citadas no PubMed.
