Ricardo Gorayeb

Licenciado (1969) e Psicólogo (1970) pela F.F.C.L.R.P. da Universidade de São Paulo (U.S.P.), Mestrado (1973) e Doutorado (1979) em Psicologia Experimental no Instituto de Psicologia da U.S.P., Professor Livre Docente da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (F.M.R.P.U.S.P.), onde coordena a Disciplina Psicologia Médica, atua no Hospital das Clínicas da F.M.R.P.U.S.P., onde é Coordenador do Serviço de Psicologia. Tem Pós Doutorado na Duke University (1988) e Johns Hopkins University (1988-1989), nos Estados Unidos, e foi Professor e Pesquisador colaborador na Universidad Jaume I (Espanha), em 2010. Foi Editor Regional e membro do Conselho Editorial da Revista "Behavioral Medicine" - Heldref Publications, por 15 anos, participante do Conselho Editorial das revistas "Aletheia", "Revista Psicologia Hospitalar" e "Psicologia, Saúde & Doenças (Portugal)", consultor "ad hoc" da FAPESP - Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo. Foi Secretário do Planejamento de Ribeirão Preto, SP de 1993 a 1995. Foi consultor da Organização Mundial de Saúde (O.M.S) em Genebra em 1995. É membro permanente do Conselho e atual (2018-2019) Vice Presidente da Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia (S.B.P.), tendo sido cinco vezes Presidente da Sociedade de Psicologia de Ribeirão Preto, sua precurssora e Presidente da S.B.P. no período 2014-2018. É responsável pela área de relações internacionais da S.B.P., tendo sido o representante do Brasil na International Union of Psychological Sciences (IUPsyS) de 2014-2018. Foi eleito para o Comitê Executivo da IUPsyS, com mandato para o período de 2018-2022 . Realiza pesquisas e tem experiência profissional área de Psicologia Clínica, com ênfase em Psicologia da Saúde, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Psicologia no ambiente Hospitalar, Promoção da Saúde, Intervenção Psicológica, Saúde Pública e Psicologia Comunitária. He has a postdoctoral degree at Duke University (1988) and Johns Hopkins University (1988-1989) in the United States, and was Professor and Collaborating Researcher at Universidad Jaume I (Spain) in 2010. He was Regional Editor and Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal "Behavioral Medicine" - Heldref Publications, for 15 years, participant in the Editorial Board of the journals "Aletheia", "Revista Psicologia Hospitalar" and "Psicologia, Saúde & Doenças (Portugal)", ?ad hoc? consultant of FAPESP ? Foundation to Support Research at the State of São Paulo. He was the county Secretary of Planning and Development of Ribeirão Preto, SP from 1993 to 1995. He was a consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva in 1995. He is a permanent member of the Board and current (2018-2019) Vice President of the Brazilian Society of Psychology , having been five times President of the Society of Psychology of Ribeirão Preto, its precursor and President of the SBP in the period 2014-2018. He is responsible for the international relations area of S.B.P., having been the representative of Brazil at the International Union of Psychological Sciences (IUPsyS) from 2014-2018. He was elected to the IUPsyS Executive Committee, with a mandate for the period 2018-2021. He is a researcher with professional experience in Clinical Psychology, with emphasis in Health Psychology, working mainly in the following subjects: Psychology in the Hospital environment, Health Promotion, Psychological Intervention, Public Health and Community Psychology.
