Vanine Borges Amaral

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Alagoas (2007),obtained a Master's degree in Dynamics of Inhabited Space at the Federal University of Alagoas (2009) and a PhD in the Latin American Studies Programme at the Faculty of Arts, University of Auckland (2022). Currently, Vanine is a lecturer at the Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL). She is part of the Design Research Centre of IFAL and was a researcher in the Cultural Mapping, Inventory and Safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage Project of Alagoas. She has experience in the field of Architecture and Urbanism, working mainly on the following themes: cultural heritage, heritage preservation, popular culture, "arte popular brasileira", national identity, theory and history of architecture and drawing.

Possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2007), mestrado em Dinâmica do Espaço Habitado pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2009) e doutorado no Programa de Estudos Latino-Americanos da Faculdade de Artes, na Universidade de Auckland (2022). Atualmente é professora do Instituto Federal de Alagoas (IFAL). Participa do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Design do IFAL e foi pesquisadora da equipe do Projeto de Mapeamento Cultural, Inventário e Salvaguarda do Patrimônio Imaterial de Alagoas. Tem experiência na área de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: patrimônio cultural, preservação patrimonial, cultura popular, arte popular brasileira, identidade nacional, teoria e história da arquitetura e desenho.
