Agronomist from the Universidade de Brasília (UNB, 2010), master's degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA, 2012) and doctorate in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA, 2016). He has experience in breeding common bean, sorghum and corn, as well as computer simulation. Currently, he is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaing, where he works with simulations, genomic selection, and GWAS.

Possui experiência em melhoramento de Feijão, Sorgo e Milho, bem como em Simulação Computacional. Atualmente, faz pós-doutorado na Universidade de Illinois at (Urbana-Champaign) onde trabalha com simulação, seleção genômica e GWAS.
