Young Talent researcher at Instituto Militar de Engenheria, IME, Rio de Janeiro, September 2014-August 2017, Bolsista Jovem Talento, Level A. Previous: 5 years Bachelors degree in Toxicology-Pharmacology - Universidad Miguel Hernández, Spain (2008); Master degree in Enviromental Toxicology- Universidad de Valencia, Spain (2010); Master degree in Public Health- Universidad Miguel Hernández, Spain (2008)ph D international mention degree in Bioingeniering in the Toxicology and Chemical Safety Unit of Universidad Miguel Hernández- University of California-San Diego (January 2014). My research was devoted in mechanistic aspects of organophosphorus compounds toxicity and detoxication routes. The focus of my ph D research was to study the molecular interaction of nervous system enzymes (esterases) interacting with organophosphorus compounds. Part of the research was done in the University of California-San Diego and I awarded an international mention degree. During my ph D I have been working in the kinetic characterization(inhibition, reactivation) of the binding of esterases in order to identify target proteins of organophosphorus toxicity and/or detoxification. This kinetic characterization was used to have criteria for monitoring during isolation and purification studies using separation methods, mainly by HPLC. Tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) in the AB SCIEX TripleTOF 5600 System followed by bioinformatic approaches were used to identify molecularly some of these proteins. Peptide mass fingerprinting by mass spectrometry was used to resolve the structures of the inhibited enzyme and of the post-inhibitory modification pathways in purify enzymes.I also have experience in microbiology and DNA, RNA molecular biology methods as I was working 9 months during my undergraduate studies.
