GANCHEV, TODOR D.

Todor Ganchev graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the Department of Electronics, TU-Varna, in 1993. Between 1995-1998, he carried out a PhD study on Speech Coding, and between the years 1998-2000 worked as an Assistant Professor in the same department. Since Sept. 2000, he moved to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras, Greece, wherein in November 2005, he earned his PhD degree in Computer Science. During the period 2005-2012, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the Artificial Intelligence group of the same department, where he worked on numerous RTD projects. In Sept. 2012, he moved to the Department of Electronics and Microelectronics, TU-Varna, as an Assistant Professor. After his habilitation in Feb. 2014, he became an Associate Professor on Digital Signal Processing in the same department. In Oct. 2019, he was habilitated as a Professor on Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Computer Engineering, TU-Varna. He has authored/co-authored 200 research publications, over 50 journal articles and two monographs. Collectively these received over 2700 citations by independent authors. Currently, his Google Scholar h-index is 27.
