Mauricio Teixeira Lima

Graduado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais em 2013. Desenvolveu sua iniciação cientifica na avaliação de bactérias probióticas. Mestre pelo programa de Pós-graduação em Microbiologia da UFMG em 2015, atuou em trabalhos com vaccínia vírus, microbiota e probióticos. Doutor pelo programa de Pós-graduação em Microbiologia da UFMG em 2020, participou de projetos com diferentes espécies virais e redigiu sua tese acerca dos vaccínia vírus brasileiros. Atualmente é pesquisador visitante na Fundação Ezequiel Dias/MG. Tem experiência na área de Microbiologia, com ênfase em Virologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: poxvírus, interação vírus-microbiota e arbovírus.

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 2013, the individual developed their scientific initiation in the evaluation of probiotic bacteria. They earned their Master's degree from the Postgraduate Program in Microbiology at UFMG in 2015, where they worked with vaccinia virus, microbiota, and probiotics. They went on to earn their PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Microbiology at UFMG in 2020, participating in projects with different viral species and writing their thesis on Brazilian vaccinia viruses. They are currently a visiting researcher at the Ezequiel Dias Foundation in Minas Gerais. They have experience in the field of Microbiology, with an emphasis on Virology, working mainly on the following topics: poxviruses, virus-microbiota interaction, and arboviruses.
