Leonardo Herszon Meira

Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE (2003). Has a Master's degree in Civil Engineering - ​Transport and Management of Urban Infrastructures at UFPE (2007), and a PhD in Civil Engineering - ​​Transport and Management of Urban Infrastructures at UFPE (2013). Has professional experience in ​​construction and renovation of public schools (2003-2006), Traffic Engineer at the City Hall of Olinda-PE (2006-2007), Regulator Technician in Transport at the Regulatory Agency for Delegated Public Services of the State of Pernambuco - ARPE (2007-2010), consultant in ​​urban mobility, transport planning, traffic engineering and public transport networks. Since 2010 he has been a professor at UFPE. In 2015 he became Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering-PPGEC at UFPE. Since 2019, he has been a CNPq Level 2 productivity fellow. Between 2019 and 2022 he held the position of coordinator of the PPGEC at UFPE.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco - UFPE (2003). Fez Mestrado em Engenharia Civil na área de Transportes e Gestão das Infraestruturas Urbanas pela UFPE (2007) e Doutorado em Engenharia Civil na área de Transportes e Gestão das Infraestruturas Urbanas pela UFPE (2013). Possui experiência profissional na área de construção e reforma de escolas públicas (2003-2006), Engenheiro de Tráfego da Prefeitura de Olinda-PE (2006-2007), Técnico Regulador em Transportes da Agência de Regulação dos Serviços Públicos Delegados do Estado de Pernambuco - ARPE (2007-2010), consultor na área de mobilidade urbana, planejamento dos transportes, engenharia de tráfego e redes de transporte público. Desde 2010 é professor da UFPE. Em 2015 passou a ser Professor Permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil - PPGEC da UFPE. Desde 2019 é bolsista de produtividade Nível 2 do CNPq. Entre 2019 e 2022 ocupou o cargo de coordenador do PPGEC da UFPE.
