Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (emph. industrial processes) at the Univesity of Sao Paulo. - Focus on surface science and engineering, from thin-film synthesis and deposition to spectroscopic analysis.Ph.D. in Chemical-Physics at CU-Boulder/JILA with Carl Lineberger. - Photoelectron spectroscopy of gas phase ions of atmospheric and combustion relevance.I am a fast learning, flexible and ethical professional with a very strong scientific and technical background. I am primarily an experimental chemical-physicist but also have interests in theoretical methods as a complement to the interpretation of experimental results. I have in depth experience with laboratory instrumentation and techniques ranging from lasers, mass spectrometry and surface spectroscopy to polymer synthesis and glass processing.I am a passionate teacher with excellent communication in English, Portuguese and Spanish. My teaching style incorporates active learning techniques and new digital technologies.I approach my professional life with good leadership skills with focus on team building through mentorship and positive feedback.My broad set of skills and international experience guides my approach to research and education.I currently hold a position as a senior R&D scientist in the automotive glass industry.
