Kelly Komatsu Agopyan

Post-Doctoral researcher of the Gobal Cities Program at the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (IEA-USP). PhD and Master in International Relations at the Institute of International Relations of the University of São Paulo (IRI-USP) with an exchange period at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She coordinates "MaRIas IRI-USP", a research group on Gender and International Relations at IRI-USP. She was a researcher at the USP Municipalities Program and at the MERCOSUR Human Rights Institutional Information System (SISUR). She was a substitute professor at the Department of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). She was a fellow of the Sasakawa Young Leaders Scholarship Fund (2018). She was advisor for international affairs at the Municipal Secretary of Human Rights and Citizenship of the City of São Paulo (2014-2016). Areas of work and research interest involve urban issues, the right to the city, subnational public policy, occupation of public spaces, city networks, decentralized international cooperation, paradiplomacy, human rights and gender studies.

Pós-doutoranda no Centro de Síntese Cidades Globais do Instituto de Estudos Avançados da Universidade de São Paulo (IEA-USP). Doutora e Mestra em Relações Internacionais pelo Instituto de Relações Internacionais da Universidade de São Paulo (IRI-USP) com período sanduíche na Universidade Nacional Autônoma do México (UNAM). Coordena o "MaRIas IRI-USP", grupo de pesquisa sobre Gênero e Relações Internacionais do IRI-USP. Foi pesquisadora do Programa USP Municípios e do Sistema de Informações sobre a Institucionalidade em Direitos Humanos do MERCOSUL (SISUR). Foi professora substituta do departamento de Relações Internacionais da Pontifícia Universidade Católica da São Paulo (PUC-SP). Foi bolsista do Fundo Sasakawa de Bolsas para Líderes Jovens (2018). Foi assessora para assuntos internacionais da Secretaria Municipal de Direitos Humanos e Cidadania da Prefeitura de São Paulo (2014-2016). Seus temas de atuação e de interesse de pesquisa envolvem questões urbanas, direito à cidade, política pública subnacional, ocupação de espaços públicos, redes de cidades, cooperação internacional descentralizada, paradiplomacia, direitos humanos e estudos de gênero.
