Graduated in Electrical Engineer from Universidade SATC in 2010 and Master in Electrical Engineer from UDESC in 2020. Works at WEG Equipamentos Elétricos since 2010. He has five years global experience with commissioning & start-up and six years with engineering of medium voltage rotating machinery. Strong knowledge in power plants and energy generation applications, with synchronous machines, slip-ring motors, induction motors, gen-sets, static exciter and brushless exciter. Skills with variable frequency drives, soft-starters, PLC and manufacture, commissioning & start-up of electrical panels. Worked as Project Analyst between 2015 and 2020, conducting and supporting New Product Introduction, acting with machine monitoring projects and R&D. Involved with troubleshooting analysis and improvement of WEG Energy Division solutions. Expert in synchronous generators and motors application. Author of Large Synchronous Motors paper, a relevant study regarding theory and practice of starting such assets. Mateus is currently a Digital Business Developer at WEG Digital Solutions department, conducting the improvement and the expansion of Motor Scan and the Motor Fleet Management solution for Brazilian and overseas market.
