As a B.S. in Pharmacy, phD. in Public Health, my carreer has been focused on institutions that carry out relevant activities to the National Health System in Brazil (SUS).
Over the 11 year I was as a government manager at São Paulo State Health Department, where I coordinated an engaged team that was responsible for drug supply management and technical support for bids statewide, comprising 480 essential medicines and more than 2.000 drugs for judicial/administrative requests, over 1 billion U$ dollars/year, to provide comprehensive health services in more than 600 community pharmacies. Later, at the same company, I managed the team in charge of drug incorporation and the development of guidelines and policies for safe use of medicines.
I've also worked as a professor at São Paulo University for three years, teaching (pharmacoepidemiology, health surveillance and, health assessment for undergraduates) and doing research. Currently, I?m still collaborating for two postgraduate programs: health economics and public health.
Health Technology Assessment is my area of occupation nowadays. I'm a researcher at the HTA Team from Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP-D), helping with the development of products to the National Commission for Incorporation of Health Technologies in Brazil (CONITEC).
Furthermore, I'm a Business Administration student at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Calgary, Canada. I'm thrilled with the opportunity to develop business skills and to bring innovative solutions to wherever I go!
