Gisele Freitas Vilela

Agronomist at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), with a master's degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (1998) and PhD in Agronomy (Phytotechnology) from the State University of São Paulo Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2009). She worked for several years in consulting and certification of agricultural production in the areas of organic systems, coffee cultivation and horticulture. She joined Embrapa Soja in 2014 and worked at UEP / Balsas in Maranhão as a plant geneticist in the soybean breeding area until 2016. She is currently a researcher at the Territorial Management Group (GGTE) of Embrapa Territorial in Campinas / SP. She works in the area of analysis and territorial management of agricultural systems, environmental resources, sustainable agriculture and agrogeology.

Engenheira agrônoma formada na Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA), com mestrado em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (1998) e doutorado em Agronomia (Fitotecnia) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2009). Atuou por vários anos em consultoria e certificação da produção agrícola nas áreas de sistemas orgânicos, cafeicultura e horticultura. Ingressou na Embrapa Soja em 2014 e atuou na UEP/Balsas no Maranhão como fitotecnista na área de melhoramento vegetal da soja até 2016. Atualmente é pesquisadora do Grupo de Gestão Territorial Estratégica (GGTE) da Embrapa Territorial (CNPM) em Campinas/SP. Atua na área de análise e gestão territorial de sistemas agrícolas, recursos ambientais, agricultura sustentável e agrogeologia.
