Claudio de Oliveira Graça

Has a degree in mechanical engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1968), master's degree in Nuclear Engineering-Nuclear energy Joint Institute of Nuclear Studies (1971) and PhD in Nuclear Engineering-University of Cambridge (1987). Currently is full professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Physics Department. Has experience in the field of Nuclear Engineering, with emphasis on technological problems of nuclear, radiological protection and transport theory, applied to shielding problems, controlled fusion, mainly on the following areas: neutron and gamma transport theory, 14 Mev neutron generation, operation of small accelerators, radiological protection, Safety Engineering in the area of physical agents and dosimetry of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. Teaching in basic physics; Full Professor of physics for engineering courses in the areas of General Physics, Nuclear Physics, Stuctrure of matter; Physics of reactors, Nuclear Reactor Engineering and Shielding.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1968), mestrado em Engenharia Nuclear - Junta de Energia Nuclear Instituto de Estudios Nucleares (1971) e doutorado em Nuclear Engineering - University of Cambridge (1987). Atualmente é Prof. titular da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Nuclear, com ênfase em Problemas Tecnológicos Nucleares, proteção radiológica e teoria de transporte, aplicados à blindagem, Fusão Controlada, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: teoria de transporte, geração nêutrons de 14 Mev, operação de pequenos aceleradores, proteção radiológica engenharia de segurança na área de agentes físicos e estudo dosimetria e simulação de radiações não ionizantes. Professor de física básica para os cursos de física e engenharia, nas áreas de Física Geral, Física Nuclear, Estrutura da Matéria; Física de Reatores, Engenharia de Reatores Nucleares.
