I am mainly interested in the dialogue between ancient and contemporary thinkers in the research fields of Ancient Philosophy, Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Biology. After having obtained in 2004 the BA degree with a dissertation on Artificial Intelligence ("Can a Computer Feel Emotions? Machines and Emotional Intelligence"), I received my MA degree in 2008 with a dissertation on Aristotle's Philosophy of Biology and Politics ("Aristotle's Human Being Between Biology and Politics"). Afterwards I successfully attended a doctoral program in History of Ideas: Philosophy and Sciences (2012) with a three years postgraduate fellowship offered by the Italian Institute of Human Sciences (SUM) of Florence. During my PhD., thanks to a scholarship offered by the Centre for the Study of Greek and Roman Antiquity, I had the chance to attend the Michaelmas Term at the University of Oxford. There, I develop the research on Aristotle s philosophy of mind under the supervision of David Charles (Oriel College). The results of my research is my PhD dissertation, titled "The Psychophysical Affections of the Living Being: Toward a Physiology of Thought in Aristotle", forthcoming. I collaborate with the University of Bologna and with the Centre for Neuroscience ANEMOS of Reggio Emilia.
