Marcos Dias Camelo

I have a degree in Theology from the Centro Universitário Filadélfia (2016), and a Masters degree in Linguistic Studies, at the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras e Linguística, by the Faculdade de Letras, at Universidade Federal de Goiás (2020). I'm currently doing research in the area of ​​Linguistics, focused on discourse analysis, more specifically modern theories in argumentation and rhetoric. I analyze the media political debate, under the bias of the Interactional Perspective of Argumentation (PLANTIN, 2008; GRACIO, 2010, 2012; WILLARD, 1987), combining insights from Conversation Analysis and Pragmatics, in order to develop the concept of Eristic Argumentative Face. I'm a Spanish and English teacher, following a CLIL approach, with a customized methodology towards the students needs and affections. I also work as a translator to the following Language pairs: English/Portuguese and Spanish/Portuguese, from simple texts to high level texts, and from short textos to entire books.

Possui graduação em Teologia pelo Centro Universitário Filadélfia (2016) e é Mestre em Estudos Linguísticos, pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras e Linguística, da Faculdade de Letras, da Universidade Federal de Goiás (2020). Atualmente realiza pesquisa na área de Linguística, voltada para a Análise do discurso, mais especificamente as teorias modernas em argumentação e retórica. Analisa o debate político midiático, sob o viés da Perspectiva Internacional da Argumentação (PLANTIN, 2008; GRACIO, 2010, 2012; WILLARD, 1987), combinando elementos da Análise da Conversação e Pragmática, para desenvolver o conceito de Face Argumentativa Erística. É professor de Inglês e Espanhol, seguindo uma abordagem CLIL, com metodologia personalizada para as necessidades e afetos dos alunos. Também trabalha como tradutor para os pares Inglês/Português e Espanhol/Português, de textos simples até textos de alto nível, desde artigos curtos até livros inteiros.
