Graduated in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (1993), Master in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2000) and Ph.D. in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2003). He worked as a researcher at Embrapa Roraima between 2003 and 2012 and at Embrapa Agrossilvipastoril between 2012 and 2017 and is currently a researcher at Embrapa Pecuária Sul and a professor in the Graduate Program in Applied Computing at Unipampa. He has experience in the area of Forestry Resources and Forestry Engineering, with an emphasis on forest management, working mainly on the following topics:crop livestock forest systems, extractivism, non-timber forest products, management of planted and native forests.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1993), mestrado em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2000) e doutorado em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2003). Atuou como pesquisador da Embrapa Roraima entre 2003 a 2012 e da Embrapa Agrossilvipastoril entre 2012 e 2017 e, atualmente, é pesquisador da Embrapa Pecuária Sul e professor do programa de Pós Graduação em Computação Aplicada da Unipampa. Tem experiência na área de recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, com ênfase em manejo florestal atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Integração Lavoura Pecuaria Floresta, extrativismo, produtos florestais não madeireiros, manejo de florestas plantadas e nativas.
