Mateus Rattes Lima da Motta

Mateus has a BSc in mechanical engineering (2018) and a master's degree in physics (2021), both from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Currently a PhD student in physics at UFPE and a member of the Laboratory of Atomic Physics and Pulsed Lasers, from the Department of Physics of UFPE, where he develops research focused on nonlinear optical processes in hot and cold atomic systems, with special interest in effects on the transverse spatial structure of the light field. During the enginnering degree, developed undergraduate research activities in optics and atomic physics as a volunteer and also as a scholarship holder from CNPq. During the two years of the MSc, worked both in experiment and theory, with focus on four-wave mixing processes in samples of cold rubidium atoms and spatial modes of the radiation field of light. Has experience in cold and hot atoms, nonlinear optics, and spatial modes of light.

Possui graduação em engenharia mecânica (2018) e mestrado em física (2021), ambos pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Atualmente é aluno do doutorado em física da UFPE, onde desenvolve pesquisa voltada a processos óticos não lineares em sistemas atômicos, com especial interesse nos efeitos sobre a estrutura transversal da luz. Durante o curso de engenharia, realizou atividades de iniciação científica na área de ótica e física atômica como voluntário e como bolsista do PIBIC (CNPq). Tem experiência em átomos frios, ótica não linear e modos espaciais da luz.
