Adalberto Borges da Silva Brandão Junior

Adalberto Brandão is the Founder and CEO of HealthValley.VC, a disruptive healthcare innovation platform and Curator & Director of Technology Committee at DEMO Conference Brazil. He was the COO of GVcepe Private Equity and Venture Capital Research Center at FGV-EAESP and Coordinator of Desafio Brasil, during 2011 and 2012. He is Outreach Board Member of Anjos do Brasil. He acts as judge and mentor in several innovation programs and entrepreneurship competitions, such as NYU, Duke University, Endeavor, Startup Chile, Wayra, Startup Weekend, CJE-FIESP, La Red Innova and speaker in many events, such as Super Return, HMS, IT Leaders Conference and Campus Party. He is founding partner of Radar Negócios and other early stage companies. He was Senior Manager of Investment and Project Finance at Odebrecht Investimentos em Infraestrutura, where he was in charge of assembling an R$1 billion infrastructure Private Equity fund. He was also engaged in the structuring of a joint venture between Odebrecht and Gafisa, Bairro Novo Empreendimentos Imobiliários S.A., structured project finance operations for five Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and managed approximately R$1.8 billion in Structured Finance Operations. Conducted international projects in Angola and Peru. He has also worked at CVC/Opportunity Equity Partners, one of the biggest Private Equity firms in Latin America, with R$3 billion under management. He conducted many M&A transactions, led several business analysis, strategic design, performance monitoring and management of major portfolio companies such as Brasil Telecom, Telemig e Amazônia Celular, Telemar, Americel, Telet, iBest, IG, Santos Brasil, Metrô do Rio de Janeiro, Bahia Futebol Clube, Petroreconcavo, Eletroriver, Supportcomm, Agência Click, among others. He co-authored the book Negociações Empresariais, published by Editora Saraiva, 2010. Author and professor of disciplines in many business and law schools at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), such as FGV Direito, FGV Management, GV Law, FGV On Line, and Professor at INSPER, Business School São Paulo (BSP) and Euro American Business School. He attended specialization courses at Duke University and Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Brandão also holds a Master s degree in Administration and Business Management from FGV-EBAPE and a Bachelor s degree in Accounting from UERJ Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro.

Ocupou cargos executivos na Odebrecht Investimentos em Infraestrutura e no CVC/Opportunity Equity Partners. Autor e Professor na FGV, INSPER, BSP - Business School São Paulo. Realizou cursos de especialização na Duke University e Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
