Luísa Soares has general experience in law firms (Veirano Advogados and Albino Advogados) and as well as in-house counsel. Currently Associate Director of Business & Legal Affairs at Fox Latin American Channels do Brasil Ltda. acting in corporate law, contracts, regulatory matters (National Cinema Agency ? ANCINE) and providing support to compliance, competition law, litigation and intellectual property. Before that, she was a Legal Manager of Business & Legal Affairs at Fox Brazil. At Fox, she was the only one lawyer for at least six (6) months and subsequently she was transferred to Rio de Janeiro. She was in charge of implementing the Legal department there.Luisa provided support to World Cup and Olympic Games in Brazil.She has a large experience in finance operations (debt issuance), merger and acquisitions (M&A), public-private partnerships, infrastructure, administrative law, tax advisory (operations of tax planning and inheritance) and secondment at Fox Channels, Volvo Cars and Mundipharma. Luisa is known as business partner and for providing leadership, organization, management of external counsels and lawsuits and ensuring efficient management of staff and economic resources in Legal department. In addition, she is focused on identifying and mitigating risks, putting internal controls in place, providing internal trainings and enforcing internal policies, regulations and compliance laws.She has graduation in Philosophy at Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and in Law (L.L.B.) at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP), post-graduation (L.L.M.) in Tax Law at Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (INSPER) and Master's degree in Philosophy (philosophy of science applicable to law) at Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH-USP).
