Biologist, PhD in Ecology at the State University of Campinas; Full Professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (current), Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Amazonas (1995 and 1996), Professor of the Graduate Program in Botany, at the National Institute for Research in the Amazon (2013-2021); Professor of the Graduate Program in Ecology and Conservation - UFMS (current) and the Graduate Program in Animal Biology - UFMS (current). Interest in themes of ecology (species interaction, communities, geographic distribution, biological diversity, conservation, socioecology), botany (plant reproductive biology), zoology (bat biology and biogeography), and natural history.
