LUCAS ANTONIO DUARTE NICOLAU

Bachelor of Biomedicine (Federal University of Piauí - 2013), Master Degree in Pharmacology (Federal University of Piauí - 2014), PhD in Pharmacology (Federal University of Ceará - 2018), with doctoral internship at Queen Mary University of London, Doctorate Sandwich mode ( SWE), having carried out part of the doctoral project at the Wingate Institute of Neurogastroenterology under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Sifrim. Post-doctorate in Medical Sciences (Federal University of Ceará - 2019). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at UFPI / UDFPar teaching classes related to Morphophysiology of the Human Body, Pharmacology, Mucosal Immunity and Scientific Divulgation. He has been developing researches whose intellectual core mainly encompasses the Pharmacology of the Digestive System. Has experience in the field of Pharmacology with an emphasis on Inflammation and Gastrointestinal Tract Pharmacology, acting on the following topics: I) Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, II) Gastrointestinal Injury Models, III) Diarrheal Diseases Induced by Chemical Agents, Viral Epitopes and Bacterial Toxins, IV ) Gaseous mediators (NO, CO and H2S) and V) Pharmacological prospection of bioactive molecules.

Graduado em Biomedicina (Universidade Federal do Piauí - 2013), Mestre em Farmacologia (Universidade Federal do Piauí - 2014), Doutor em Farmacologia (Universidade Federal do Ceará - 2018), com estágio doutoral na Queen Mary University of London, modalidade Doutorado Sanduíche (SWE), tendo realizado parte do projeto de doutorado no Wingate Institute of Neurogastroenterology sob a supervisão do Prof. Daniel Sifrim. Pós-doutorado em Ciências Médicas (Universidade Federal do Ceará - 2019). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto na Faculdade de Medicina da UFPI/UFDPar ministrando aulas relacionadas à Morfofisiologia do Corpo Humano, Farmacologia, Imunidade de Mucosas e Divulgação Científica. Vem desenvolvendo pesquisas cujo cerne intelectual abrange majoritariamente a Farmacologia do Sistema Digestório. Detém experiência na área da Farmacologia com ênfase em Farmacologia da Inflamação e do Trato Gastintestinal, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: I) Doença do Refluxo Gastroesofágico, II) Modelos de lesão gastrintestinal, III) Doenças diarreicas induzidas por agentes químicos, epítopos virais e toxinas bacterianas, IV) Mediadores gasosos (NO, CO e H2S) e V) Prospecção farmacológica de moléculas bioativas.
