Alesson Pires Maciel Guirra

Geological Engineer from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2009-15). Master's degree in Geography with emphasis on Geotechnologies Applied to Environmental Management and Analysis from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (2016-17), and a PhD in Environmental Technologies in Water Resources and Sanitation from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2018-21). Worked as a freelancer between 2015-2018 and as a Geologist at the Municipal Government of Caxias (MA) in 2019. Currently, they work as a Laboratory Technician in Geology and Mining at the Federal University of Vales Jequitinhonha and Mucuri, Campus JK in Diamantina (MG) from 2019 to the present. They are also the Deputy Coordinator of the Internal Supervision Commission (Management 2021-2024) and have been working in various administrative committees of UFVJM. They are also an external collaborator of the Tutorial Education Program - Strategies, a digital content producer, and an evaluator of scientific journals in the areas of Geosciences and related fields. Their main areas of expertise include Geotechnologies, Water Resources, Rock-Soil-Water Interaction, Mapping, Environmental Systems Modeling, Geostatistics, Environmental Licensing, Teaching, Research, and Extension.
