Felipe Loose

Born in Cruz Alta, Brazil, 1991. B.Sc. (2016) and M.Sc. (2018) in Electrical Engineering by the Federal University of Santa Maria, Santa Maria, Brazil. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree at the same university, with emphasis in power electronics, LED Lighting and Visible Light Communications (VLC). Works as a full-time hardware and software designer at Eletro Zagonel, Pinhalzinho, Brazil, with the development of power converters aimed at LED lighting and water heating. In 2019, received a prize by the Industry Applications Society (IAS) for the innovatve aspects of his M.Sc. work in LED lighting and VLC for medium to low data-rate communications. His research interests include visible light communications, power dc-dc converters, telecommunications and signal processing aimed at LED lighting, Internet of Things and power systems.

Nascido em Cruz Alta, 1991. Bacharel (2016), mestre (2018) e Doutor (2022) em engenharia elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). Atualmente trabalha com cientista pesquisador do grupo SEA - Sistemas Eletrócnicos de Alimentación, da Universidade de Oviedo, Gijón, Espanha. Os seus interesses de pesquisa incluem conversores híbridos para alimentação, conversores cc-cc, telecomunicações e processamento de sinais.
