Camila Garcia Kieling

Adjunct professor at the School of Communication, Arts and Design at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Collaborating Professor of the Graduate Program in Social Communication at the same institution. PhD in Social Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2013-2017) Master in Social Communication (2008-2010) and Bachelor in Journalism (2003) from the same University. Postgraduate student in Environment and Sustainability at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). She has experience in the area of Communication, with an emphasis on coordinating educational and literary editorial projects and teaching at a higher level in the disciplines of Print Media, Visual Planning, Graphic Production and Graphic Design (Fabico / UFRGS); and Communication Theories, History of Communication, Research Methods, Anthropology of Journalism, Communication and sociocultural context and Sustainability (Famecos/PUCRS). In research, she works mainly with the themes: Discourses and Journalistic Narratives, Journalism and Politics, History of Communication, Gender, Diversity and Inclusion. In 2017, she received a travel grant from IAMCR-International Association for Media and Communication Research to present the article "Press and institutional breakdowns: expressions of the imaginary in journalistic narratives" in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. In 2019, she won 3rd place in the Freitas Nobre Award (Doctorate Category) from Intercom. She is a member of the NIP-Nucleus of Pedagogical Innovation, the Coordinating Committee and the NDE of the Journalism Course at the School of Communication, Arts and Design / Famecos-PUCRS. She is Assistant Editor of Revista Famecos. She is the author and co-author of textbooks in the area of Languages and their Technologies for High School by Editora do Brasil (2020). She is part of the social impact collective Fluímos (2022).

É Editora Assistente da Revista Famecos. É autora e coautora de livros didáticos na área de Linguagens e suas Tecnologias para o novo Ensino Médio pela Editora do Brasil (2020). Integra o coletivo de projetos de impacto social Fluímos (2022).
