Carlos Magno Neves

Graduado em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Estadual de Goiás-UEG em 2008. Doutor em Saúde Pública pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina-UFSC em 2020. Graduado em Saúde Pública pela Universidade Federal de Goiás -UFG em 2013. Certificado em Regulação dos Sistemas de Saúde-UFG em 2012 e certificado em Gestão do Sistema Único de Saúde ENSP/FIOCRUZ em 2011. Atuou como professor visitante em cursos de pós-graduação de 2010 a 2014. Colaborou como professor substituto em Saúde Coletiva de 2014 a 2016, ministrando aulas para o curso de medicina do Instituto de Patologia Tropical e Saúde Pública (IPTSP). Em 2017, cursou o segundo semestre de doutorado na University of British Columbia, no Canadá, como um dos seis brasileiros escolhidos para o Programa de Líderes Emergentes nas Américas (ELAP), do governo canadense, que seleciona pesquisadores e alunos de instituições de ensino superior na América Latina e no Caribe. Participou do grupo de pesquisa sobre violência do Departamento de Saúde Pública da Universidade de Santa Catarina, onde obteve seu doutorado. De 2019 a 2021, foi professor de saúde pública da Universidade de Rio Verde-UniRV, onde ministrou aulas para o curso de Medicina. Em termos de experiência de trabalho no Sistema Único de Saúde-SUS, começou a atuar como Fisioterapeuta nos serviços públicos de saúde do município de Senador Canedo-GO de 2009 a 2012, tornando-se coordenador do Serviço Municipal de Reabilitação em 2010. De 2012 a 2016, atuou como coordenador de programas de saúde e posteriormente como gerente do ambulatório de especialidades médicas do município de Aparecida de Goiânia-GO, função que incluiu também a coordenação do ambulatório da unidade prisional estadual localizada em este município. Desde 2019, lidera o desenvolvimento da Escola de Governo do Município de Senador Canedo-GO. Ele acredita que a educação e a saúde são pré-condições de uma sociedade mais equilibrada, inclusiva e justa. Ensino, educação continuada, saúde pública e políticas de saúde são áreas de interesse.

He received his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the State University of Goiás-UEG in 2008. He earned his Doctorate in Public Health from the Federal University of Santa Catarina-UFSC in 2020. He obtained a Degree in Public Health from the Federal University of Goiás-UFG in 2013. A certificate in Regulation of Health Systems-UFG was granted in 2012, and a certificate in Brazilian Unified Health System Management ENSP/FIOCRUZ was awarded in 2011. He worked as a visiting professor on postgraduate courses from 2010 to 2014. He collaborated as a substitute professor in Collective Health from 2014 to 2016, teaching classes for the medicine course at the Institute of Tropical Pathology and Public Health (IPTSP). In 2017, he went to the University of British Columbia in Canada for the second semester of his PhD as one of six Brazilians chosen for the Canadian government's Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP), which selects researchers and students from post-secondary institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. He was a participant of the violence research group at the Department of Public Health at the University of Santa Catarina, where he earned his Doctorate. From 2019 to 2021, he was a professor of public health at the University of Rio Verde-UniRV, where he taught classes for the Medicine course. In terms of work experience in the Unified Health System-SUS, he began working as a Physical Therapist in the public health services of the municipality of Senador Canedo-GO from 2009 to 2012, eventually becoming the coordinator of the municipal Rehabilitation Service in 2010. From 2012 to 2016, he worked as a coordinator of health programs and later as the manager of the medical specialties ambulatory of the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia-GO, a role that also included coordination of the outpatient clinic of the state prison unit located in this municipality. Since 2019, he has led the development of the School of Government for the Municipality of Senador Canedo-GO. He believes that education and health are the preconditions of a more just, inclusive, and fair society. Teaching, continuing education, public health, and health policies are all areas of interest.
