Rosana Farias Singer

Graduada em Licenciatura Plena em Ciências Biológicas pela UFMS (1993), com mestrado em Botânica pela UnB (2000) e doutorado em Biologia Vegetal pela Unicamp (2007). Realizou Pós-Doutorado Júnior (CNPq) no Depto de Genética da UFRGS. Tem experiência na área de Botânica, com ênfase em Sistemática Vegetal, atuando nas áreas de Sistemática, Morfologia e Ecologia Vegetal. Atualmente é bióloga/pesquisadora do Jardim Botânico de Porto Alegre - SEMA/RS, curadora das coleções científicas do Jardim Botânico e Editora-chefe da revista Iheringia, Série Botânica.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from UFMS (1993), a Master's degree in Botany from UnB (2000) and a PhD in Plant Biology from Unicamp (2007). She completed postdoctoral studies at the Department of Genetics of UFRGS with the project Phylogeny of Jacaranda. She has experience in Botany, with emphasis on Plant Systematics, working in the areas of Systematics, Morphology and Plant Ecology. Currently works at the FundaçãoZoobotânica of RS, in the Collection Section of the Botanical Garden of Porto Alegre and is Editor-Assistant of the magazine Iheringia, Botânica Series
