Rochele Amorim Ribeiro

Rochele Amorim Ribeiro works at Department of Civil Engineering of Federal University of São Carlos (Brazil) as professor. She studied Design at Federal Technical School of Pelotas at high school (1997). She graduated in Architecture (2004) and finishes her Master degree in Urban and Regional Planning (2006) at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil. During graduation, she took part in a University Community Work as a scholarship holder at the Laboratory of Computer Graphics (LCG-FAU) and was worded in Urban Planning Department of Canoas City Government and in several architectural offices. During the master course, she received a scholarship from the Brazilian Government (CAPES) and she published scientific papers for national and international congresses in Transportation and Urban Planning. In 2006 she was involved in research studies in Braga ? Portugal, at Universidade do Minho. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rui António Rodrigues Ramos, she worked on scientific papers about Sustainable Urban Development. Also, she attended classes in Municipal Engineering as a non-regular student, in which she presented her master dissertation. In 2011 she concluded a doctorate in Transportation Engineering at Engineering School of São Carlos (EESC) of University of São Paulo (USP) ? Brazil. She is granted a scholarship from National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) during the doctorate course. Her research embraces experiences in the area of Regional and Urban Planning, with emphasis an Environmental issues: Geoprocessing, Geographic Information Systems, Urban Transport, Urban Mobility, Urban Environment Quality and Computer Modelling.

Rochele Amorim Ribeiro é professora no Departamento de Engenharia Civil da Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar) Possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo (2004) e mestrado em Planejamento Urbano e Regional pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2006) e doutorado em Engenharia de Transportes pela USP - São Carlos (2011) Durante a graduação foi bolsista PROREXT-UFRGS na atividade de Extensão Universitária. Ademais, foi estagiária CIEE na Secretaria de Planejamento Urbano da Prefeitura de Canoas e em escritórios de arquitetura e urbanismo. Durante o mestrado foi bolsista CAPES. Publicou trabalhos científicos em congressos nacionais e internacionais na área de Planejamento Urbano e em Transportes. Em 2006 participou de um estágio de investigação na Universidade do Minho (Braga ? Portugal) na área de Desenvolvimento Urbano Sustentável, sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Rui António Rodrigues Ramos. Tem experiência na área de Planejamento Urbano e Regional, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Expressão Gráfica, Geoprocessamento, Mobilidade Urbana e Modelagem computacional.
