Sílvio Luiz Thomaz de Souza

Silvio L.T. de Souza earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) in 1995. He later completed his Doctorate in Physics at the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2002. Following this, he engaged in Postdoctoral research at the Institute of Physics - USP, delving into the Oscillation Control Group, and also conducted research at the Centre for Applied Dynamics Research, School of Engineering, University of Aberdeen, King's College (Scotland). Presently, he holds the position of Associate Professor at the Federal University of São João del-Rei. His research expertise lies in Nonlinear Dynamics, with a primary focus on the exploration of topics such as Fractals, Chaotic Oscillations, and the Application of Dynamic Systems Theory within the domains of physics and engineering.

Silvio L.T. de Souza possui bacharelado em Física pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1995), Doutorado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (2002) e fez Pós-doutorado no Grupo de Controle de Oscilações, Instituto de Física-USP e no Centre for Applied Dynamics Research, School of Engineering, University of Aberdeen, King's College (Escócia). Atualmente é Professor Associado da Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei. Tem experiência na pesquisa em Dinâmica Não-Linear, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Fractais, Oscilações Caóticas e Aplicações da Teoria de Sistemas Dinâmicos nas áreas de física e engenharias.
