Graduated in Arts (1974) and Advertising (1974) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, Master of Arts from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (1983), Doctorate in Arts from the School of Communications and Arts of University of São Paulo (1990) and Associate Professor / Associate Professor (2019) by the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo. She was professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas from 1977 to June 2008 in the Visual Arts and Advertising courses. She was Co-founder and Coordinator of Lato-Sensu "Art: Teaching and Production", where she also taught the subject "Three Dimensional Aspects of Plastic Expression" from August 1996 to December 1999. She founded and coordinated the Research Group "A Imagem : Art and Design ", who worked from 2004 to 2008 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, with research lines, among them" Contemporary Aspects of Image: Theory and Practice ", where he developed his research projects and guided several students of Scientific Initiation. , some volunteers, others with FAPIC and PIBIC scholarships. Has experience in Arts, Design and Advertising, and works mainly on the following subjects: art, design, community, sociology of art, fashion, art education, interdisciplinarity and production. She is currently an effective PhD Professor at the University of São Paulo at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH-USP) at RDIDP in the Textile and Fashion Course in the Design and Fashion area and is a member of ICOM - International Council of Museums / UNESCO, since 2000. Today she is also visiting professor at the University of Lisbon (Portugal), at the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (Portugal) and researcher at the Center for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD) at the University of Lisbon (Portugal), where he developed his postdoc in 2016.

Fundou e coordenou o Grupo de Pesquisa "A Imagem:Arte e Design", que atuou de 2004 a 2008 na Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas, com Linhas de Pesquisa, dentre elas "Aspectos Contemporâneos da Imagem: Teoria e Prática", onde desenvolveu seus projetos de pesquisa e orientou vários alunos de Iniciação Científica, alguns voluntários, outros com bolsas FAPIC E PIBIC. Tem experiência na área de Artes, Design e Publicidade, e atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: arte, design, comunidade, sociologia da arte, moda, arte-educação, interdisciplinaridade e produção. Atualmente é Professora Doutora efetiva da Universidade de São Paulo, na Escola de Artes, Ciências e Humanidades (EACH-USP) em RDIDP no Curso de Têxtil e Moda, na área de Design e Moda e é Membro do ICOM - International Council of Museums / UNESCO, desde 2000. Hoje é também professora visitante da Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco (Portugal) e pesquisadora do Centro de Investigação em Arquitetura, Urbanismo e Design (CIAUD) da Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), onde desenvolveu o seu Pós-Doutorado em 2016..
