GUSTAVO LUIZ BEHRENS PINTO holds a degree in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia (FMB) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) (2012), completed his medical residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo ( HCFMUSP) in 2016 (2014-2016), and completed the medical residency in Rheumatology at the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (HCFMUSP) in 2018 (2016-2018). Completed his PHD in the Musculoskeletal System Sciences Program at the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2021. Is a specialist in Rheumatology by the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology (SBR). Since 2019, has been a medical preceptor of the Rheumatology residency program at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Bahia. Since 2022 he has been Assistant Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Bahia at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). He is a member of the inflammatory myopathies and rheumatoid arthritis committees of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology and is the current scientific director of the Society of Rheumatology of Bahia (SOBARE). Main areas of interest: Systemic autoimmune myopathies, antisynthetase syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, safety in the use of immunobiologicals.

GUSTAVO LUIZ BEHRENS PINTO é formado em medicina pela Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia (FMB) da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) (2012), concluiu a residência médica em Clínica Médica no Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (HCFMUSP) em 2016 (2014-2016), e concluiu a residência médica em Reumatologia no Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina Da Universidade de São Paulo (HCFMUSP) em 2018 (2016-2018). Concluiu o doutorado no Programa de Ciências do Sistema Musculoesquelético pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP) em 2021. Tem título de especialista em Reumatologia pela Sociedade Brasileira de Reumatologia (SBR). Desde 2019, é médico preceptor do programa de residência de Reumatologia do Hospital das Clínicas da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Desde 2022 é Professor Assistente do Departamento de Medicina Interna da Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). É membro das comissões de miopatias inflamatórias e artrite reumatoide da Sociedade Brasileira de Reumatologia e é o atual diretor científico da Sociedade Bahiana de Reumatologia (SOBARE). Principais áreas de interesse: Miopatias autoimunes sistêmicas, síndrome antissintetase, artrite reumatoide, segurança no uso de imunobiológicos.
