Douglas William Cirino

Master in Ecology from the University of São Paulo (USP - 2021). Bachelor in Biological Sciences (2018) and Bachelor in Science and Technology (2017) from the Federal University of ABC - UFABC. I'm currently a PhD student in Ecology at the University of São Paulo. During my undergraduate I have a Treinee at the Zoological Park Foundation of São Paulo (FPZSP), a Scientific Initiation Fellowship by PIBIC/CNPq in the area of Ecology of Roads and a Teaching Initiation Fellowship at PIBID/UFABC. I'm conducted research in the area of Road Ecology and Landscape Ecology with FAPESP scholarship (2016 to 2018). I've been awarded with first place in the youth category in the 1st MapBiomas Award with the paper: "Why did the craby-eating-fox crossed the road? Landscape features associated with roadkill mortality of C. thous". I have experience in the areas of Road Ecology, Landscape Ecology, Geoprocessing and Science Education. Currently i'm interested in Urban Landscape Ecology and Ecosystem Services, seeking to understand the relationship of biodiversity and green areas in cities with human health.

Mestre em Ecologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP - 2021). Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas (2018) e Bacharel em Ciência e Tecnologia (2017) pela Universidade Federal do ABC - UFABC. Atualmente é doutorando em Ecologia pela Universidade de São Paulo. Durante a graduação foi Estagiário Bolsista na Fundação Parque Zoológico de São Paulo (FPZSP), Bolsista de Iniciação Científica pelo PIBIC/CNPq na área de Ecologia de Estradas e foi Bolsista de Iniciação à Docência do PIBID/UFABC. Realizou pesquisa na área de Ecologia de Estradas e Ecologia de Paisagens com bolsa FAPESP de Iniciação Cientítica (2016 a 2018). Foi premiado em primeiro lugar na categoria jovem no 1º Prêmio MapBiomas com o trabalho: "Por que o cachorro-do-mato atravessou a estrada? Características da Paisagem associadas à mortalidade por atropelamento de C. thous". Tem experiência nas áreas de Ecologia de Estradas, Ecologia de Paisagens, Geoprocessamento e Educação Científica. Atualmente está interessado em Ecologia de Paisagens Urbanas e Serviços Ecossistêmicos, buscando entender a relação da biodiversidade e das áreas verdes nas cidades com a saúde humana.
