Concluded the Integrated Master Course in Materials Engineering at University of Minho (Portugal) in 2010, with part of the Master Dissertation made at the École Centrale de Paris (France). Finished the PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minho (Portugal), working at the Center MicroElectroMechanical Systems (CMEMS-UMinho), in colaboration with Centro de Engenharia Biológica (CEB-UMinho), the Tokyo Medical and Dental University (Japan) and the Faculty of Sciences of the UNESP in Bauru. The title of the thesis is: ?Biofunctionalization of titanium surfaces for dental implants: Osteogenic, Antibacterial and Tribocorrosion resistant surfaces?Has experience in the areas of Materials and Biomedical Engineering, with special focus in the material's characterization, surface modification and biomaterials. Recém-doutorado em Engenharia Biomédica pela Universidade do Minho, tendo desenvolvido o trabalho no Center of MicroElectroMechanical Systems (CMEMS-Uminho) e o Centro de Engenharia Biológica (CEB-Uminho) em colaboração com a Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU-IBB) no Japão, o Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Qualidade e Tecnologia (INMETRO) no Rio de Janeiro e a Faculdade de Ciências da UNESP de Bauru. A tese de doutoramento teve como tema a "Biofuncionalização de superfícies de titânio para implantes dentários: Superfícies com propriedades osteogénicas, antimicrobianas e resistentes à tribocorrosão"Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Materiais e Biomédica, com ênfase na caracterização de materiais, modificação superficial e biomateriais. Actuando nos seguintes temas: Titânio; Modificação superficial; Electroquímica; Tribocorrosão; Biomateriais; Biocompatibilidade.
