Gustavo Benedetti Rossi

Atualmente atuando como pós-doutorando no Grupo de Dinâmica Orbital e Planetologia da UNESP-Guaratinguetá investigando a dinâmica e formação dos satélites irregulares de Júpiter a fim de encontrar um link com a formação de objetos transientes no Sistema Solar, como os objetos Centauros. Formado como Bacharel em Física pela UNICAMP (2010), obtive os graus de mestre (2012) e Doutor (2016) em Astronomia pelo Observatório Nacional - ON/MCTI - com participação no programa CsF no Observatoire de Paris - Meudon, França (2013/2014). Realizei estágio pós-doutorado no ON durante 3 anos com Bolsas PCI (2016-2017) e CAPES/FAPERJ (2017-2019) além de outros 22 meses no Observatoire de Paris-Meudon - França (no projeto Lucky Star), sempre atuando no estudo e caracterização de objetos do Sistema Solar exterior através de ocultações estelares. Participo do canal Astrotubers no Youtube e fui homenageado tendo o nome em um asteroide pela União Astronômica Internacional (27158) Benedetti-Rossi - 1998 YZ 29.

Working as a post-doc fellow at Orbital Dynamics and Planetology group at UNESP-Guaratinguetá investigating the dynamics and formation of the irregular satellites of Jupiter with the goal to find a link between them and the formation of transient objetcs in the Solar System, such as the Centaurs. Graduated in Physics at UNICAMP (2010), has a master's degree (2012) and a PhD (2016) in Astronomy at Observatório Nacional - ON/MCTI also with a participation on the "Science without Borders" program at Observatoire de Paris - Meudon, France (2013/2014). Worked during 3 years as post-doc fellow at ON with a PCI (2016-2017) and CAPES/FAPERJ grant (2017-2019) beside other 22 months at Observatoire de Paris-Meudon - France (on the LuckyStar project), always studying and characterizarion of outer solar system objects using stellar occultation technique. I participate on the YouTube channel called Astrotubers and I was honored by the International Astronomical Union with an asteroid receiving my name (27158) Benedetti-Rossi - 1998 YZ 29.
