Niravkumar Jitendrabhai Joshi

Niravkumar J. Joshi is a physicist, having completed his doctorate at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. He is a Visiting Professor at Federal University of ABC, Brazil. He has published more than 30 articles in specialized journals, twelve book chapters, and two books (Springer and Elsevier). These papers received about 1454 citations (h = 18) on Google Scholar, data for January 2022. He has postdoctoral experience from South Korea, Brazil, and at the University of California Berkeley, USA, where he developed selective and sensitive microsensors by MEMS techniques. His present research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of oxide nanostructures and 2D material-based gas sensors. He is a core reviewer for several prestigious journals like Nano letters, ACS Applied Material Interfaces, Advanced Functional Materials, Nature Scientific Reports, Sensors and Actuators B, etc. He had worked as a Guest Editor for Special Issues in the Journal of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology and Sensor Letters. He has edited two Books: Functional Nanomaterials - Advances in Gas Sensing Technologies (Springer Publisher) and Silicon-Based Hybrid Nanoparticles (Elsevier Publisher). He is a member of the Editorial Team-SN Applied Science (Springer Publisher) and Sensor Letters. He was awarded twice by the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA), India, for Best R&D Award and Marie-Curie Seal of Excellence by the European Commission (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020).
