Alessandra Duarte Rocha

Doutora em Química Orgânica (2010) com ênfase em Produtos Naturais e Biotecnologia pelo Departamento de Química da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Mestre em Ciências Farmacêuticas (2002) com ênfase em Fitoquímica, Especialista em Farmacoquímica (1999) e Bacharel em Farmácia Industrial (1997), todos pela Faculdade de Farmácia da UFMG. Possui experiência na área de produtos naturais incluindo as técnicas de extração e isolamento, purificação, caracterização e elucidação estrutural de metabólitos secundários de plantas e fúngicos, bem como implementação e execução de ensaios de prospecção da atividade biológica em extratos vegetais. Conhecimento da área de Biotecnologia, especificamente em biotransformações fúngicas de metabólitos secundários. Apresenta ampla experiência em docência no ensino superior, principalmente das disciplinas de Farmacognosia, Fitoquímica, Fitoterapia, Farmacobotânica, Química Farmacêutica e Medicinal, Química Orgânica e Química Geral. Foi pesquisadora bolsista do CNPq (PCI) na Unidade de Pesquisa e Produção de Radiofármacos (UPPR) do Centro de Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear (CDTN)/ Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN) (2013). Atuou como docente de cursos de graduação da área da Saúde em Instituições de Ensino Superior de Belo Horizonte e interior de Minas Gerais. Trabalhou como Coordenadora do Curso de Farmácia da FACEMG/BH (2016-2018), tendo sido responsável pela implantação do curso e sua gestão acadêmica, contribuindo para o seu enriquecimento com organização de seminários, encontros, palestras e jornadas e exercendo, ainda, papel motivacional para professores e alunos, por meio de uma atitude estimuladora, proativa, participativa e articuladora. Atualmente, integra os corpos docentes do Centro Universitário Newton Paiva, da Faculdade do Alto São Francisco (FASF-UNISA/Luz) e da Faculdade Ciências da Vida (FCV/Sete Lagoas). Na FCV, atuou como membro da CENPEX (Câmara de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão), onde participou ativamente da organização de congressos, semanas de cursos de graduação, mostra de profissões e análise e desenvolvimento de projetos de pesquisa e extensão da instituição, entre outros. No Centro Universitário Newton Paiva, foi líder de projeto de Iniciação Científica (2021) envolvendo as áreas de Farmácia e Medicina Veterinária.

PhD in Organic Chemistry (2010) with an emphasis on Natural Products and Biotechnology by the Department of Chemistry at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2002) with an emphasis on Phytochemistry, Specialist in Pharmaceuticals (1999) and Bachelor of Industrial Pharmacy (1997), all from the Faculdade de Farmácia at UFMG. Experience in the field of natural products including the techniques of extraction and isolation, purification, characterization and structural elucidation of secondary metabolites of plants and fungi, as well as implementation and execution of tests to prospect biological activity in plant extracts. I have knowledge in the area of ​​Biotechnology, specifically in fungal biotransformations of secondary metabolites. I have extensive teaching experience in higher education, mainly in the disciplines of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Phytotherapy, Pharmacobotany, Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry. I was a researcher at CNPq (PCI) at the Radiopharmaceutical Research and Production Unit (UPPR) of the Nuclear Technology Development Center (CDTN) / National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) (2013). I worked as a professor of undergraduate courses in the field of Health in Higher Education Institutions in Belo Horizonte and in the interior of Minas Gerais. I worked as Coordinator of the Pharmacy Course at FACEMG / BH (2016-2018), having been responsible for the implementation of the course and its academic management, contributing to its enrichment by organizing seminars, meetings, lectures and journeys and also playing a role motivational for teachers and students, through a stimulating, proactive, participatory and articulating attitude. Currently, I'm a member of the teaching staff of the Centro Universitário Newton Paiva, of Faculdade do Alto São Francisco (FASF-UNISA / Luz) and of the Faculdade Ciências da Vida (FCV / Sete Lagoas), where also acted as a member of CENPEX (Chamber of Education, Research and Extension), with participation active in the organization of congresses, weeks of undergraduate courses, shows of professions and analysis and development of research projects and extension of the institution, among others. At the Centro Universitário Newton Paiva, I was the leader of a Scientific Initiation project (2021) involving the areas of Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine.
