Letícia Araújo Vasconcellos
I'm Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Postgraduate Program with maximum score by the Ministry of Education of Brazil / CAPES 7). I have a Master's degree in Materials Engineering and Technology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Physics with emphasis in Medical Physics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS).
I have 5 years of experience as a university professor in the area of Engineering and Exact Sciences and in the health area of Biomedicine and Pharmacy courses and together I worked for more than 15 years in scientific research in the area of Biomaterials.
Currently in my sabbatical year in search of new research in the field of Biomaterials and attend periodic meetings of Professor John Davies at the University of Toronto (UofT).
My area of expertise: Biomedical and Materials Engineering, Medical Physics, Orthopedic Implants, Biocompatible Polymers, Biopolymers, Bioceramics, Bone Tissue Engineering, Scaffolds for cell culture (mensenchymal stem cells) and Materials Science.
