Matheus Luiz Jorge Cortez

An agronomist graduated from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) and a master's degree in Agricultural Engineering in the line of research in Remote Sensing and Geoprocessing at the same institution. Doctoral student in Analysis and Modeling of Environmental Systems at UFMG. He has experience in areas of the agronomic field with an emphasis on precision agriculture, working mainly in the following segments: remote sensing, precision coffee growing, geographic information system (GIS), geoprocessing and consulting aimed at quality agricultural management. Additionally, he has experience in forest seedling production (RENASEM Nº MG-13555/2018), permaculture and agroecology, having worked in the construction of bamboo biostructures and in community gardens.

Engenheiro agrônomo formado pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA) e mestre em Engenharia Agrícola na linha de pesquisa em Sensoriamento Remoto e Geoprocessamento na mesma instituição. Doutorando em Análise e Modelagem de Sistemas Ambientais pela UFMG. Possui experiência em áreas do campo agronômico com ênfase em agricultura de precisão, atuando principalmente nos seguintes segmentos: sensoriamento remoto, cafeicultura de precisão, sistema de informação geográfica (SIG), geoprocessamento e consultorias visando manejo agrícola de qualidade. Adicionalmente possui experiência em produção de mudas florestais (RENASEM Nº MG-13555/2018), permacultura e agroecologia, tendo trabalhado na construção de bioestruturas em bambu e em hortas comunitárias.
