I graduated in Social Communication, having three degrees - Publicity and Propaganda (1979), Journalism (1980), and Public Relations (1984), by Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS. I completed three Specialization courses in Social Communication - in the areas of Administration in Advertising and Propaganda (1981), Style Journalism (1982), and Public Relations Administration (1986), by PUCRS. I studied the Master in Sociology, in the area of Industrial Society (1990), by PUCRS. I have a PhD in Communication Sciences, in the area of Public Relations, Advertising and Tourism (2000), by the School of Communications and Arts - ECA, University of São Paulo - USP. I carried out two post-doctoral studies - the first in the Department of Philosophy, Arts and Communication - FAC, Faculty of Letters, University of Coimbra - UC (2009), with the support of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio Grande do Sul - FAPERGS; the second in the Post-Graduate Program in Communication Sciences, ECA/USP (2015), with the support of the PUCRS. I am retired Full Professor, on an exclusive dedication basis, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, at the School of Communication, Arts and Design - FAMECOS/PUCRS. I was the Coordinator of the Communication Sciences Department from 1988 to 1994, in 1997, and from 2005 to 2010, of the FAMECOS. I coordinated the FAMECOS Public Relations Course from 2010 to 2014. I was a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Postgraduate Program in Communication - PPGCOM/PUCRS, in 1994, from 1999 to 2004, and from 2015 to 2017. At the Brazilian Society of Communication Interdisciplinary Studies - INTERCOM, I was Cultural Director (management 1995-1997), coordinator of the Research Group in Public Relations and Organizational Communication (from 2001 to 2003) and Advisory Board Member (management 2020-2023). At the Brazilian Association of Media History Researchers - ALCAR, I was coordinator of the Thematic Group of Public Relations History (from 2004 to 2008), South Regional Director (management 2015-2019) and editor of the Brazilian Journal of Media History - RBHM (from 2021 to date). At the Brazilian Association of Organizational Communication and Public Relations Researchers - ABRAPCORP, I was Scientific Director (from 2006 to 2010), President (management 2012-2014) and Advisory Board Member (2010-2012 and from 2014 to date). I have experience in issues related to Teaching, to Research and to Memory in the areas of Communication and of Public Relations.

Realizei dois Pós-Doutoramentos - o primeiro no Departamento de Filosofia, Artes e Comunicação - FAC, da Faculdade de Letras, da Universidade de Coimbra - UC (2009), com o apoio da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul - FAPERGS; o segundo no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Comunicação, da ECA/USP (2015), com o apoio da PUCRS. Sou Professora Titular aposentada, em regime de Dedicação Exclusiva, em nível de graduação e de pós-graduação, na Escola de Comunicação, Artes e Design - FAMECOS/PUCRS. Fui Coordenadora do Departamento Ciências da Comunicação, de 1988 a 1994, em 1997, e, de 2005 a 2010, da FAMECOS. Coordenei o Curso de Relações Públicas da FAMECOS, de 2010 a 2014. Integrei a Comissão Coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação - PPGCOM/PUCRS, em 1994, de 1999 a 2004, e, de 2015 a 2017. Na Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos Interdisciplinares da Comunicação - INTERCOM, fui Diretora Cultural (gestão 1995-1997), coordenadora do Núcleo de Pesquisa Relações Públicas e Comunicação Organizacional (de 2001 a 2003) e Conselheira Consultiva (gestão 2020-2023). Na Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores de História da Mídia - ALCAR, fui coordenadora do Grupo Temático História das Relações Públicas (de 2004 a 2008), Diretora Regional Sul (gestão 2015-2019) e editora da Revista Brasileira de História da Mídia RBHM (de 2021 até hoje). Na Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores de Comunicação Organizacional e de Relações Públicas - ABRAPCORP, fui Diretora Científica (de 2006 a 2010), Presidente (gestão 2012-2014) e Conselheira Consultiva (2010-2012 e de 2014 até hoje). Tenho experiência nas questões direcionadas ao Ensino, à Pesquisa e à Memória nas áreas de Comunicação e de Relações Públicas.
