Ludovic AVRIL
Doctorate at Materials Science and Process Engineering from Le Laboratoire Arts et Metiers ParisTech d'Angers (2003). Has experience in Chemistry, focusing on Inorganical Chemical Physicist. In 2003, I am graduated Ph.D in Materials Science and Process Engineering at Laboratoire Arts et Metiers ParisTech d'Angers (LAMPA). During the Ph.D student period, I worked on the laser irradiation used to elaborate coating on stainless steel by melting the material addition and the metal surface in order to enhance the wear and corrosion resistance.During my post-doc position (2003-2004) in LAMPA at ENSAM of Angers, my research work dealt with the simulation of thermal transfer and the chemical reaction of silane of CVD process for the silicon coating. Thus, the study by numerical simulation is performed in order to optimize the thermal effect in order to obtain uniform deposit of silicon. Then, during my position at the University of Bordeaux in the Laboratoire des Composites Thermostructuraux (LCTS) (2004-2006), in collaboration with the SAFRAN, I studied the phenomena of oxidation ceramic fibre. The experimental approach is based on the exploitation of thermogravimetric analysis data for the determination of the oxidation kinetic laws and the physico-chemical characterization of the surface oxidized fibers. My post-doctoral position (2006-2008) at the University of Bourgogne in Institut Carnot de Bourgogne (ICB), my research project was to investigate the degassing of metallic materials, so the desorption of gaseous species (H2O, CO, CO2) on tantalum and titanium alloys in ultra-vacuum.During (2008-2011), I worked at University of Namur (Belgium) in PMR Laboratory. The research project is Organic Light Emitting Device (OLED) project with ArcelorMittal partner. The organic multilayers are elaborated by thermal evaporation. The transparent and conductive oxides are elaborated by using magnetron sputtering. The structural, electrical, optical properties are investigated.Since 2011, I have been at University of Bourgogne in ICB. I worked on nanostructured thin films by using liquid injection CVD and ALD processes. I studied TiO2, CrN, CeO2, Pt, Au-TiO2, Pt-TiO2, Pt-CeO2 thin films and I synthesized gold nanoparticles which were embedded in TiO2 films. I used the different characterization techniques such as XPS, XRD, SEM, TEM, AFM, DLS, Raman and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Now (November 2016) I am in UFPE University of Recife. I received a scholarship DCR-APQ from CNPq and FACEPE during 20 months. My research projects are the elaboration of nanomaterials (TiO2, Ga2O3, ZnO, etc) by using MOCVD and ALD processes. These oxide materials are used for the plasmonic, catalytic, photovoltaic and medical applications.
